Raz and Leah Hartman live in Jerusalem’s Nachlaot neighborhood with their four children, Shira, Oriyah, Yikrat and Netanya. Raz is a Jerusalem native and Leah is originally from Chicago; both spent many years in the U.S. yearning to be in Israel. Leah spends most of her time mothering, with a bit of learning Torah and writing on the side. Raz teaches Torah at Nachlaot’s Yeshivat Simchat Shlomo and at Yeshivat Bat Ayin in Gush Etzion. In addition, he leads the V’ani Tefillah minyan in Nachlaot. Raz also writes and plays Jewish music with a Chassidic and classical influence.
