Audience Development Manager

Join our fast-paced, creative team in San Francisco as the Audience Development Manager leading our efforts to grow our audience and subscriber base associated with our extensive library of 80+ short animated films, e-Books, and growing library of apps.

The ideal candidate needs to be a digital media pro with proven ability to grow views, engagement, subscribers and downloads by optimizing every aspect of our website, Youtube channel, social media, e-newsletter, blogs, and presence in the press.

This position is a full time job in our downtown San Francisco office. This position includes individual health care, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and other benefits.

Responsibilities

  1. Program launches (new films, apps, eBooks, workshops, and transmedia experiences) - Research target markets, design launch plans, build buzz and drive audience development through press releases, email marketing, social media, adwords, and strategic partnerships with educational institutions
  2. Online marketing - Boost views and downloads of our videos and apps, track the ROI, and adapt marketing strategies over time
  3. Website - Keep the content of our web site fresh (with the help of a coder and designer)
  4. Branding - Be the G-dcast brand ambassador.
  5. Research - Stay abreast of industry trends to propose mission-appropriate products and workshops with potential to earn revenue for the organization and create buzz

Preferred Skills

  • 2 - 4 years of experience involving strategies around film and/or app audience development
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Persistent, persuasive, tenacious and resourceful in collaboration and production
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to balance creative thinking with strong attention to detail
  • Interest and appreciation for working in a non-profit environment
  • Brings enthusiasm and a sense of fun to the workplace

G-dcast is a non-profit production company dedicated to raising worldwide Jewish literacy using mobile apps, games and online videos that speak to today's youth. To date, we have created over 80 short animated films based on Jewish texts - all available for free online - that have been viewed over a million times, plus a diverse slate of entertaining mobile apps. Our companion curricula are in use by over 3,000 educators at institutions across the Jewish spectrum and around the world, and our community programming is an exciting new model that mashes up media skills building and Jewish literacy.
